Ode to Grams and Papa

Our time with you has been like a magic trick. Watching carefully as the clock ticks, days pass and months fly, then with a tickle, a giggle and a big bowl of cereal...POOF, it disappeared! We didn't even see how it happened and we are left in awe. Oh, Grandma and Papa THANK YOU for inviting us to stay with you. We only planned on a few months but we stayed almost two years. We couldn't have done it without you. I cannot believe how much we are going to miss you. (All of us) This was Madalyn's first home. Don't forget all the times James and Lilly escaped to "the upstairs" to eat your food or wake you up early in the morning. Truly, I could not have done it with out you. Thanks for being a friend. Thanks for the sequence games on Sunday nights with Jen and Jonathan. Thanks for bringing home movies from the library for the kids to watch. Thanks for building snowmen with us before you go to work in the morning. Thanks for helping with the kids when Allen worked late. Thanks for eating dinner, breakfast, and sometimes lunch with us. Thanks for taking care of Baby Madalyn when I needed a break. Thanks for the Tea Parties with "the girls". Thanks for allowing Lilly to make and cook her own creations. Thanks for keeping track of the free spirited James. Thanks for spending time in the garden and yard together. Thanks for listening and thanks for loving. When I left the house at age 18 I was more than ready to go, now I am 30 and my heart is torn up wanting to stay yet ready to go.
