Swine Flu?
Well, I was just making sure I have things in order just in case everyone was told to stay inside for a while. We are doing ok on our food storage. Here is a list of some things I thought of to be prepared.
1. always get more water
the water we store in old juice bottles only tastes good for 6 months, then it should be changed. Store bought water is good for 2 years.
2. diaper, wipes, and pullups, toilet paper, feminie products
3. cleaners
4. anti-bacterial sanitizer
5. sterno, or a small gas stove (with gas)
6. fill propane tank for cooking
7. store more beans (good for protien)
8. I heard that the Tillamook 2 lb cheese loaf wrapped in the orange wrap will store well on the shelf in a cool room for a while (as long as the wrapper isn't broken)
9. Have our own garden...even in our apartment we have a tomato plant
10. cook from food storage often
11. only let the gas tank get down to 1/2 a tank
12. games to play inside
does anyone else have any ideas on how to be prepared?
Sounds like you are prepared, dont forget medicine for yourself and kids, always have those readily available. Call me CRAZY but I really think this is being blown out of proportion. We all just need to remember to wash our hands, cover our mouths and just keep our bodies clean. I really think we will all be okay!! People are sick all year round from the regular flu and people die, this is just hitting the news hard, and scaring people. As they said today, be alert, but not alarmed. Anyway that is my two sense :0)
